What the numbers show

Gross graduation ratio from first degree programmes (ISCED 6 and 7) in tertiary education, adjusted gender parity index (GPIA) is currently reported for 108 countries. The highest value is 1.82 GPIA in Qatar; the lowest is 0.1066 GPIA in Liechtenstein.

The median across all reporting countries is 1.34 GPIA, and the mean is 1.26 GPIA.

The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 17.

Over the past decade 63 countries rose and 42 fell. The largest increase was in Cambodia (up 163.6%), and the largest decrease in Liechtenstein (down 88.7%).
